Singing in the Rain

Enterprize Women No Comments »

Obviously Shabbos was amazing, from all the families to ALL of the food to all of the schmoozing. By the way Sarah the trip director is an amazing singer; I was quite surprised!!! My favorite of course was the food. There was an intense amount of food and it all tasted insanely delicious. We visited different families for lunch on Saturday and from what I heard all of the families were wonderful, the children were fun. It was interesting schmoozing with the families and finding out that we know the same people in different places, and have different things in common. It was definitely a great time.

One of the greatest treats during the weekend was the Rav Shmuel concert. The Enterprize girls waved their hands in the air, sang along, took pictures, waved phones and cameras in the air giving the lighter affect, and clapped loudly. He was great and definitely raised awareness among us and is doing it among the communities he performs for.

Sunday night we went to an amazing show; Fuerzabruta. It was very intense and just captivated all of us. We moved with the set, danced in the “rain” and just had a great time.

The weekend in general was a great time and really gave us the opportunity to get to know each other better. I personally had an amazing time. I feel that each and every girl on this trip will definitely succeed in life and I am glad that I am getting to know such great people.

Fuerzabruta what??

Enterprize Women No Comments »

What a beautiful day in the city! Everyone honestly felt like we walked all over the city! After an insightful discussion with Rabbi Feldheim about Jewish views on sexuality, we headed into the city for some shopping time. A girl can never get enough time to shop! Bargaining with vendors, and hitting up H&M, Saks, and lots of other great stores, lets just say everyone was successful in their purchases.
Everyone was excited to finally relax and enjoy the play Fuerzabruta. We walked into the theater, unsure about the surroundings; there were no seats and we were standing on the stage where actors usually perform. Out of nowhere, performers start flying in the air. I had never seen such an amazing, unique performance. Everyone was satisfied and even soaked after water was splashed onto the audience.
To end off this truly fantastic day, we visited the Empire State Building. Traveling up 80 floors was an exhilarating experience. Standing and looking out at the city of New York allowed the girls to take pictures and enjoy this very moment.
Tomorrow are Challenge 1 presentations! May the best group of girls win!

Rockin’ the night away

Enterprize Women No Comments »

Hey everyone!

There is nothing better than a loooong sleep-in. Shabbat gave our trip the opportunity to rest, spend time with each other, and experience lunch at family’s houses around Passaic.
After more time relaxing, Harry Rothenberg, managing attorney of the law firm of Allen L. Rothenberg, graced our Aish residence with his wit. We learned about his Jewish and business experiences, which were very useful for some future lawyers on the trip.
The third meal was hosted at Rabbi Greenman’s house, spending time with his wonderful 9 children and wife.
Our night ended off with a rocker performance by Rav Shmuel. Behind his beard and suit, there is a wonderful musician who blew the girls away! He’s even on Facebook and Twitter!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

We’re all in this Together!

Enterprize Women No Comments »

Today started off by meeting 2 extraordinary people: Robert Hormats, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Goldman Sachs, and William Lauder, CEO of Estee Lauder. Both businesses have proven to be powerful throughout North America and around the world.

Our trip slogan is “we’re all in this together.” It’s not taken from the song High School Musical soundtrack…I hope. Anyways, Sarah, the trip organizer, has clearly expressed that as a group, we will succeed, learn, and have fun on this trip. So far, the Women’s Enterprize trip has gotten closer and we hope to all become great friends by the end.

The day is ending with Shabbos, tonight includes candle lighting, dinner, and Oneg.

I just know, before this is over, I’m gonna need a whole lot of serious therapy.

Today was a GREAT day. The girls had fun in the city asking the population to complete surveys for our first challenge. We met more amazing business people and got to know each other even better.

Some of us went to see Shrek the Musical on Broadway, which was AMAZING! Then we all walked around time square. Being in New York City at midnight seems like it’s only noon. It was fun seeing all of the girls enjoy themselves by shopping, sight seeing, etc. I LOVE seeing everyone’s faces light up!

Welcome Ladies….

Hey everyone!

Welcome to Passaic! The first day of the women’s Enterprize trip got off to a great start. The arrival of 25 girls from across the United States and Canada got introduced to a 12-day, non-stop, action-packed program allowing future entrepreneurs to exhibit their passion for Judaism and business. Day 1 included a discussion with Rabbi Yitz Greenman about the key issues facing Jewish people. An enthusiastic discussion took place, allowing the girls to get to know each other by learning about their personal philosophies and beliefs.

David Moskowitz of Moskowitz Jacobs Inc. presented a seminar about his company and products used to provide research needs in marketing, product, advertising and strategy. Relating to everything taught today, Challenge 1 was announced!
Good luck teams!!!
